Room Hire

The Church has several rooms available for hire to the community. Please contact the Circuit Office to enquire about booking them.

There is a selection of folding tables available on trolleys for ease of transport, plus some others that do not fold.

All rooms are centrally heated and double-glazed.

Accessibility:
There is ramp access to all the rooms (not to the stage). The Cornerstone Room has a toilet designed for wheelchair access. 3 car parking spaces are reserved for people with a disability, close to the entrance ramps.

There are about 50 car parking spaces. Several buses stop right outside the church and others at nearby bus stops.

Charges:

As we come out of lockdown all our rooms are currently charged at £19 per hour per room (discount for charities). The time hired must include your set up and clean down times.

Please be aware that alcohol is not allowed on any part of Methodist premises.

Large Hall

Rooms 1

The Large Hall has space for about 160 people theatre style.

There is a baby grand piano.

The floor is marked out for Badminton.

A selection of table and chairs, including for young children, are available.

We no longer hire out the stage.

Small Hall

Rooms 2

The Small Hall has about 80 chairs. Blackout blinds and curtains and a serving hatch leading through to the kitchen.

There is an upright piano.

A projector screen is available which opens up over the serving hatch.

The kitchen can be also be hired. It is well equipped with modern ovens, water boiler and a dishwasher. It is regularly used to cook full meals for 60 people.

Lounge

Rooms 3

The Lounge has about 20 padded chairs and is carpeted.

Dimensions are approx 15ft x 21ft.

A large whiteboard is attached to the wall.

Cornerstone Room (Currently unavailable)

Rooms 4

The Cornerstone Room has about 40 chairs and is also used as the entrance foyer to the church.

It is the most modern room available with carpet, upholstered seats and its own small kitchen for making refreshments.

Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

Infant Baptisms

If you would like to arrange a Baptism Service or have a Thanksgiving Service for your child, please contact a member of the Circuit Ministry Team. They will be able to explain what is involved and arrange this with you.

Weddings

If you would like to arrange a Wedding Ceremony at the Church, please contact a Minister from our Circuit Ministry Team. They will be happy to discuss the arrangements for the service and to help you prepare for married life together.

Funerals

If you would like to arrange a Funeral Service or Thanksgiving Service, please contact a Minister from our Circuit Ministry Team.They will be able to discuss the arrangements with you and will be able to offer comfort and support before and after the funeral itself. The service is an opportunity to give thanks, to share in a time of sorrow, and to entrust our loved one to God.
