What are your memories of Timperley Methodist Church?

TimperleyMCThis coming weekend we celebrate our Church Anniversary.  Like most of us the church celebrates its life and witness in the community through the years.  The existing church building here in the centre of the village has been here over 83 years, the first 'opening' service taking place on the 24th November 1937, but did you know that Timperley Methodist Church has been worshipping in the community since 1833, that's 186 years!

You can imagine that over that number of years there have been many who have used, been part of, been baptised, married and had funeral services here.  With a large Sunday School, youth organisations, Whitsuntide Walks of Witness, playgroups etc. not to mention Sunday Services themselves there must be quite a few memories out there.  Recent posts on our Facebook page have seen people comment about their memories.  This year sees the 25th anniversary of the very popular Holiday Club.  See our separate article for further details and booking a place.

Have you got any memories of time spent here at Timperley Methodist Church, and even photos you would like other to see?  We would love to hear from you.  Please contact us though our Facebook page or email us at This email address is being protected from spambots.
