Calling all young actors and actresses!
Does your child have the confidence to act?
At Timperley Methodist Church, we have a long tradition of giving children and teenagers the opportunity to try out and show off their ability to act. This year, we are going to put on the Disney Junior version of Aladdin on Friday November 30th and Saturday 1st December. We have chosen this for the great songs and the quality of the script.
Rehearsals will take place every Thursday at 6.30pm, including half term, from September 6th. On the first week, we shall be registering all children who want to take part and also auditioning KS2 children and older for the major parts. For the main roles, we shall be looking for children who can speak clearly, with expression, and can sing in tune. There is no obligation to audition, as we shall give all children parts. We would like all parents to stay with their children on that occasion, as, once they have finished all that is necessary, they will be able to take them home.
Subsequent rehearsals will run from 6.30pm until 7.30pm for KS1 children and until 8pm for older ones.
We will send out the cast list during the week following the auditions and give out the scripts at the following rehearsal.
Your support in helping your child to learn their words, including songs, will be crucial.
We would love to be able to nurture and encourage your child, as they discover new skills and find the confidence to perform on stage.
